DONAIRE UPSET DARCHINYAN

A short fight that finish in the fifth round of a schedule 12 rounds title bout between  IBF Flyweight Champion Vic Darchinyan [28-1, 22 KO’s] of Australia and challenger Nonito Donaire [18-1, 11 KO’s] of the Philippines. Donaire dropped Darchinyan in the fifth round to become new IBF Flyweight Champion.

Darchinyan was favored to win fight against  Donaire but in the first round Donaire lands a hard right hand punches to  wake up Dachinyan, he is not impress.

A left hand shot by Donaire made Darchinyan to heat up the fight as well as taking charge as he lands a right-left combination to make Donaire to move backward until second round ended. In the third round Darchinyan goes on the offensive mode trying to control the tempo but A good counter left hand punch by Donaire stunned Darchinyan resulted in a cut on his upper right side eye.

In the fourth Darchinyan was in a fighting mode trying to take control of fight but Donaire hang in there showing his speed was to much for Darchinyan. The fifth round was a slow round in exchanging punches then Donaire lands a left hand punch  that send Darchinyan to canvas for good, that he could not get up even after trying to get up and a stretcher was brought in to the ring. Good thing Vic manage to get up and walk out of the ring on his own.

Donaire wins a fifth round TKO and become the New IBF Flyweight Championship.
